  Lord Hurlley's GingerBread recipe

3 cups all purpose flour
1/2 tsp. Baking soda
1/2 tsp. Salt
2 & 1/2 tsp. Ginger
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 cup(1 stick) butter
1/2 cup light brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 cup light molasses
Sift dry ingredients together
whip butter sugar & egg
stir in molasses until smooth
gradually add flour to mixture
form dough into a ball
refrigerate overnight
Heat oven to 375 degrees
spray cookie sheet with non~stick
roll dough out flat on floured wax paper
use your favorite cookie cutters to cut cookies
place on prepared cookie sheet about 1 & 1/2 inches apart
bake in 375 degree oven for 10~12 minutes
