| Many Slarvs lost their lives on that day................in the Battle of Gwelderon..........Zorph, the Evil Wizard of Degradoom, had been on a rampage for the entire decade of Antressa's escape..........determined to find her, he and his Snarrdauh minions had cut a swathe of terror and destruction throughout the Mystical Lands in search of Antressa, the apprentice Theophlosser.........in one week alone during the autumn of A.O. 713, Ninety strong castles, houses and dwelling places with three hundred towns and villages were utterly annihilated ..........every lime pit in the Frontier had been plundered for it's booty......each mother load of this grayish green putty had been poured into the Alabaster Chamber for Delicretia to wallow in........Lime has certain chemical properties which increase the effectiveness of Dark Magic............and the more Delicretia slopped in this sedimentary goo, the more potent her Powers became...... undulating madly under the Spell of Zorph, she sent psychic wave after psychic wave through the ethereal portals ever awaiting that one tell tale ripple which would indicate the presence of her sister, Antressa........once the synergistic signal had been locked onto, the All Seeing Eye would then be summoned to zero in on her exact location.........knowing this, Sarogahtyp maintained an indefinite vigil of relocating Antressa's training headquarters.............never could she reside for very long in one place, ...for her Magical Powers were also increasing........it was only a matter of time, Sarogahtyp & Zorph knew, before the sisters would connect via the Astral Continuum ..........Sarogahtyp's mission wasn't to prevent this inevitable conclusion, but rather, to ensure Antressa's preparedness for this Day of Final Reckoning.............Valley is the only one who knew for sure when that fated day would be........the closer Antressa and Delicretia moved toward their Mystical Reunion, the more energy was Channeled through Valley........how many moons lay before this date of ultimate face off between the Forces of Good & Ghoul, only Valley knew.........and for the interim, she wasn't talking <~> |
