| Jeanie Brenzerekkar's Olde Worlde Fashion Sugar Cookies 1 & 1/2 cups sifted all purpose flour 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp baking soda 3/4 cup sugar 1/2 cup shortening 1 egg 2 heaping tablespoons milk 1 tsp. vanilla ~~ * set oven temperature to 375 degrees............. sift together flour, baking powder, salt, soda & sugar............ cut in shortening until mixture resembles cornmeal............. blend in egg, milk & vanilla............ roll on floured board.................. cut with cookie cutters............... place on cookie sheet............... Bake @ 375 degrees for 8 minutes.............. makes approximately 3 dozen cookies............ ~~ * a final delicious addendum.........if you encounter Little Green Martians from Mars........immediately feed them Jeanie Brenzerekkar's Olde Worlde Fashion Sugar Cookies so that they don't tickle you silly with the foot toes on their feet !!
